Early life

Jacob was born on 22nd August 1997. He was raised in North Yorkshire, and attributes his creativity and activism to an upbringing amongst the Dales. He attended St.Aidan's CofE High School in Harrogate. Excelling in Sports, he enjoyed being an ambassador for Adidas and The Youth Sports Trust in the run-up to the London Olympic Games, until a back injury led him to take up acting as a new hobby in sixth form.

 

Career

Whilst studying Film Production at the University of the Arts in London, Jacob began working with BBC WorldWide to produce content for Doctor Who: The Fan Show, BBC Classmates and 'The Great Curator', written by himself and British comedian Jon Culshaw (They later went on to produce 'The Solo Jedi', both comedy shorts).

 

Between studies and commissioned work, Jacob grew a YouTube audience of over 100,000 subscribers. The most popular video ’40 Impressions Sing Hamilton’ flaunts over 1.7 million views. The success of his impressions has led to regular voice acting work, most significantly in his role portraying the titular character in ‘Doctor Who’ for BigFinish/BBC. Other notable performances include audio series ‘The Waringham Chronicles' for Audible and 'The War Master', with Sir Derek Jacobi.

In early 2018 he signed with an agent and quickly landed his first television role as the male lead of BBC teen drama The A List (Kindle Entertainment/Lionsgate). Weeks after production wrapped, Jacob earned a role in the third series of International Netflix hit ‘Medici’ as ‘Giulio de Medici’.

The following year, he enjoyed playing 'Thomas Price' (supporting lead) in Netflix series "The Stranger" and 'Sam' in FATE: The Winx Club Saga for Netflix in Dublin. 

​

In 2021, Jacob reprised his role for season 2 of 'Fate: The Winx Saga' and soon after landed the lead role in LGBTQ+ drama 'Now and Then', to star alongside Richard Armitage and Stephen Fry.  He is currently in Budapest, filming another undisclosed feature film.

Jacob has been training as an actor for 4 years and is now represented by The Artists Partnership.

Film-making

His directorial debut "Save The Rhino Vietnam"(2017), (a film produced by Paul Blackthorne in association with charity Save The Rhino International), was well received, and had the backing of many celebrities including Chris Hemsworth and Matt Smith. WWF called it “Heart-Touching”, whilst online magazine TenEighty said it was “Stunning”.
